So should we start at idle or start at the throttle when driving?
First of all, my suggestion is to start with a gas throttle and lightly refuel while releasing the clutch, but do not increase the throttle too much, and the engine speed should not exceed 1500 rpm. Why? There are several reasons: 1. It can achieve a smoother start and is not easy to stall. If starting at idle, it is easy to stall if the clutch is released slightly faster. Even if the engine does not stall, the entire vehicle will shake severely due to a sudden increase in engine load. Occasionally, I see some cars start trembling, and sometimes the engine makes a strange noise, which is caused by the lack of a fuel door. The combustion at the moment of starting is very incomplete, which not only wastes fuel but also generates more carbon deposits. And with the acceleration starting, the engine has enough power to achieve a smoother performance. 2. Starting can be faster, as long as the accelerator is applied, the clutch can be released slightly faster without stalling. The starting speed will increase, which will not be prompted by the rear car honking, but also increase traffic efficiency. After starting, it can also shift gears more quickly. Sometimes when you see traffic congestion at an intersection, one green light can't pass several cars, which is closely related to the slow start of the cars in front.
3. It will be easier to operate when starting on a slope. When starting on a slope, you must use the fuel gate, otherwise the engine will definitely stall or roll. The usual operation is to use the fuel gate to start. When starting on a slope, you can do the same as usual, or you can increase the throttle slightly. If you usually start at idle speed, you often become inexperienced in starting on a hill and turn off the engine to roll, especially on steep uphill roads, which can be very dangerous. 4. Some family cars have weak low-end torque, making it difficult to start without refueling, and even a slight mistake can cause the engine to stall. Only the refueling can start smoothly and smoothly.
Why don't you start by refueling when learning to drive? One reason is for safety, starting too fast when refueling is afraid that students may not be able to control it, coupled with poor direction control, which can lead to accidents. Of course, if the accelerator is applied excessively during semi clutch operation, such as at 3000 rpm, and the clutch is also released slowly, there will be more wear and tear.
