Most cars have two control levers behind the steering wheel, with the left side controlling the lights and the right side controlling the wipers. Many new drivers have not mastered all of their usage methods. Today, we will give a simple explanation to understand and correctly use these functions on the car.

Most cars have two control levers behind the steering wheel, with the left side controlling the lights and the right side controlling the wipers. Many new drivers have not mastered all of their usage methods. Today, we will give a simple explanation to understand and correctly use these functions on the car. Only in certain specific environments can we use them more safely and smoothly. The following figure is a common left control handle, which controls all lights, to illustrate.

Auto two control levers (1)

This control lever can move left and right as well as up and down, and the head and middle part can also rotate.

Red boxes 1 and 2 are two independent parts that can rotate independently.

In the first part of the box, turn once to turn on the side lamp, and then turn again to turn on the Low beam lamp, which is the most commonly used light. How do I turn on the high beam headlights? Just press the control lever down once to get the high beam lights. How to make the high beams flash? Just lift the control lever up once and then release it again. If you want to flash twice, you can continuously lift and release it twice. Lifting the switch up will not get stuck, and it will return to its initial position after releasing, so you can lift and release it a few times.

Box 2 controls the front and rear fog lights. Rotate once to turn on the front fog lights, and rotate twice to turn on both front and rear fog lights. If you want to turn on the fog lamp, you must turn on the side lamp or the Low beam. You cannot turn on the fog lamp alone. The steering light is controlled by the control lever from left to right. Everyone should know that almost all Almost all are the same.

Some cars do not have the headlight switch on this control lever, and there is a separate switch, as shown in the above picture. The lighting method is the same as on the control lever. Some people cannot find the headlight switch when driving unfamiliar cars, and do not turn on the lights when driving at night. Often, this type of car has a separate switch. So if there is still a control lever behind the steering wheel, as shown in the following figure. The function is very simple, only controlling the high beam and turn signal lights, and the usage is the same as the switch mentioned above.

Let's talk about the control lever on the right side, which controls the wiper. The following image is an example to illustrate.

It is relatively simple, and all functions are represented by letters. In the off state, it is parked in the OFF position. Above the OFF position is the MIST position, which means pushing the control lever up once, and the MIST position means that the wipers only wipe once. There is dirt on the glass, or when it is Drizzle, there is often a situation where only the wiper needs to wipe. Just push it upward, and it will automatically return to its original position. Below the OFF gear is the INT gear, which is an intermittent gear, meaning that the wiper will wipe once in a while and then again in a while. So how often should I shave? It can be set by rotating the knob in the red box in the diagram to adjust the interval time. If there are individual models without this knob, the interval time cannot be adjusted. The interval time is set at the factory and cannot be adjusted by oneself. Further down is the LO gear, which is the gear where the wipers continuously brush, but the speed is not fast, suitable for light or moderate rain. Going further down is the HI gear, which is the fast gear. The wipers blow quickly and are suitable for use in heavy rain. Another function is to spray water. Just lift the entire control lever up and hold it for two or three seconds, and water will be sprayed out. The longer the hold time, the more water will be sprayed, and the wiper will also brush the glass while spraying water.

Some cars also have rear wipers, as shown in the figure below. Many people do not know how to use them, and some cars often keep driving without rain, forgetting to turn them off. How to use it? Rotate the knob at the back of the wiper lever, which reads' READ '. Turn it up to turn it on, and keep wiping on rainy days. Turning down and not letting go means spraying water. Releasing the hand will automatically return to its original position, and the spraying process is over.

The above is the basic usage of car headlight switches and wiper switches. Most cars are similar, even if you are driving an unfamiliar car, just take a brief look at the switch structure, pay attention to the illustrations and markings on the switch, and you can quickly know how to use it. Understanding all its functions can help you use it more reasonably.
