Now it's time to use the warm air season again, about the warm air a kind of failure is also gradually more and more, summer repair air conditioning winter repair warm air, every year. Today we mainly talk about a problem, the warm air is not hot how? Can you check it yourself?
Encounter warm air is not hot, car owners can do a simple check, some can be solved by themselves. The first thing to look at is the water temperature, the water temperature is normal is the premise of having warm air. Because the heat of the hot air comes from the coolant, the coolant circulates in the hot air tank and heats up the hot air tank. The structure of the hot air tank is the same as the large tank in front of the engine, with many holes in the middle, and the wind blown by the blower can pass through the hot air tank, so the air is heated and what comes out is hot air. If the water temperature is always very low, then the temperature of the hot air tank must also be very low, the wind blowing out of the hot air tank will not be hot, so the water temperature is the key. See if the water temperature is normal to see the temperature gauge can be, normal is about 90 degrees, if only 60 degrees, or water temperature gauge has been in the lowest place does not move, are fault. At this time to find the cause of low water temperature can be, the water temperature is normal warm air will also have.
One of the most common causes of low water temperature is that the thermostat is broken, it is always open and cannot be closed. How to check? The most common way to determine this is to compare the temperature of the upper and lower water pipes. If the temperature of the upper and lower water pipes is almost the same after the fire has been lit and has been running for some time, the water pipes are a little hot, which means that the thermostat is faulty. If the thermostat is normal, the upper hose will be hot and the lower hose should be cool until the thermostat opens. The second method is to cool the car after the fire to observe the water tank of the upper water pipe whether there is coolant flow, the water tank on the cover can open the cover to observe, no cover can be pinched by the water pipe to feel. If there is coolant flow, the thermostat is bad. Replace the thermostat so that the water temperature is normal and the warm air is normal.
If the water temperature is normal and the hot air is still not hot. Start with the simplest check first, to see if there is enough coolant. If there is not enough coolant, although it has not caused the water temperature to be high, the amount of coolant going into the hot air tank will be reduced or not circulated through the hot air tank at all. As a result, the hot air tank is cool and the wind blowing out is also cool. Simply top up the coolant to the normal level and the warm air will soon return. If the coolant level is also normal, it is possible that the radiator is blocked, a simple check is to check the temperature at the inlet and outlet of the radiator. If the temperature at the inlet pipe is high and the temperature at the outlet pipe is low, this means that the radiator tank is clogged and coolant can't get into the tank. You will need to unblock the heater tank, and if you can't unblock it, you will need to replace it.
If the water temperature is normal and the warm air is there, but it just doesn't feel hot enough. There are two common reasons for this, one is that the air conditioning filter is dirty, a dirty filter will affect the air flow, you can only hear the fan whistling, but in reality it is not blowing much wind, it is blocked by the dirty air conditioning core. So although the air outlet is hot and there is wind, because the wind is very small, the heat blown out is very small, resulting in the cabin not being warm. The second reason is that the warm air is not adjusted correctly, especially manual air conditioning, to adjust the warm and cold knob pointed to the red area, the thicker the red line, the warmer the air, just into the red area of the place where the warm air is not too hot.
Finally, the time to open the warm air should wait for the water temperature to come up before opening, the vehicle just after the start is no warm air, open the warm air blowing out of the cool air, do not at this time think that there is a fault. Turn on the warm air in the cool car, there is a bad thing, will make the warm-up time longer. Originally, the engine is trying to warm up the car after starting the fire, at this time you open the blower blowing to it, wasting its heat, the water temperature to normal time will be longer, but also increase fuel consumption. After the water temperature comes up to open the warm air, we use its residual heat, heat can not be used, the excess we use again, there is no effect.
